Our Starbears
We would like to introduce you to our family who over the years have brought us joy, heartbreak, laughter, tears and most of all friendship. We could not imagine life without a slobber, a lick, a walk or a bear hug (Thobi!).
To date we have had a few Newfoundlands and have travelled all over Ireland showing our dogs and have made lots of very good friends over the years. We had our first Newfoundland in 1997 Casaverde Black Bear, "Milligan" and the rest is history. Milligan was a great family pet and not what we call show potential so when he passed away at the very old age of 11 we contacted Pam Leech of Mileoak Kennels in England, where we met Mileoak Isipingo at Starbears so to our delight when we came home with her we were delighted to find out that she was show potential and on her first show outing here in Ireland under Judge Mrs P. Greer she got her first Reserve Green Star!
Then along came Mileoak Arabella Figg at Starbears in 2009, followed by Seafar Charmer De Cascade at Starbears in 2011 who won the Special Junior Dog Class in Crufts 2010!
All our dogs are stars in our eyes and thats why we call them "Starbears". If you would like more information on our family please contact us by phone or email.
